We have about 15 young horses we are riding and training that vary in riding levels. All of our horses are APHA registered. These horses range in age from 3 to 7 years old, and the price for each horse depends on their training level. These are all great prospects for any event. We have been tracking the Super Calf behind the 4 wheeler to start these colts correctly performing the basics of tracking, positioning behind the calf, breakaway, taking a jerk with a knot rope, getting back, and logging with weight. Then we continue on to tracking, breakawaying, and knot roping calves. We also have begun teaching basics for the barrel pattern with most of our herd. Prospects
Trojan is a nice 6 year old gelding that is started on calves breakaway & knot roping around the pen. Trojan falls in behind cattle and cows down as he tracks. He is running a nice barrel pattern around 70% speed; he is push style and he wants to really set & turn em. Trojan has been exhibitioned at local races fall 2011. He rides smooth & can really turn around and stop. He could easily be trained for the heading or heeling events. Roping, riding, and barrel video shown below.
June 14.2 h, APHA, 8 yr, bay mare with white streak. Light mouth and easy mover. Very well started in calf roping gets back straight and hard. Loping a nice barrel pattern. Videos below.
Sprint 6 yr 14.2 h APHA gelding-solid midnight black Absolute athlete! Rides quiet. Far along on calves- big stop & gets back solid. Loping a solid barrel pattern- really wrappy turn style & probably going to be push style. Roping video below.
Lilly APHA 8 yrs 15.0 h Really broke, classy moving black mare. Nice prospect for any event. Well started in barrels, running a nice pattern at about 80% speed. Hauled fall 2011 exhibitioning. (not started on calves)
Diego 5 yr 14.2 h Beautiful black and white stud. Rides like a western pleasure horse. Quiet & well mannered started on barrels and breakawaying calves out of the box. Big stopper!
